YEEHAH!! Today is the final day of orientation!! So I suppose it will be jam-packed with loads of stuff. And I was right. Got into the hall for assembly and sang the national anthem and school song. I was really proud of my former school as it shared the identical school song with VJC, therefore a handful of new students really knew the lyrics (mind you, they were Victoria School guys, what were you thinking??) . Yeah, and we went back to the classrooms to mingle with our classmates and PSLs by playing some games involving a couple of plastic cups and paper. Don't ask me what the games were called. And we were supposed to change into our PE shirts for the wet games later on. Yeah, us guys wore the ordinary, down-to-earth yellow-and-white PE shirts, while them girls got a special privilege and wore black shirts, because they feared that when they got wet in the PE shirt, their undergarments would be exposed to everyone. Umm, ok, enough said. Games started at 10am and we played several dry games first, like Obstacle Course and Table Soccer. Finished first in both games, haha. We were happy with the results, but undoubtedly, heaven wasn't, because it started raining like crazy from 12 noon!! Gosh, lucky we haven't started our wet games yet!! Yep, the games were put on hold and we went for lunch. Paid $2 to receive a packet of what I always hated. Fried bee hoon. Goodness. Can't heaven be more just? Alright, let's skip that. Played Treasure Hunt after lunch. We were supposed to hunt for our own group bandanas and exchange them for puzzle pieces in order to guess something. There were 20 of them out there, but my group only found 5. Pro, ya? Didn't know what we were guessing, so I sat aside with several other group members and played games and talked and laughed. then, it was time to dance AGAIN!! Gosh, mass dances sure make you steam! Learnt the songs 'I Want You' and 'La Bamba'. I didn't know the steps too well, so you can expect some flimsy performance from me. Yep. the whole thing ended at 5pm, when the various groups were awarded with prizes according to their rankings based on their performance throughout the whole orientation. My group attained 2nd position!!!! That outta learn ya!! Yeah. Some bands played some songs for the finale. And it all ended on 6pm. Yeah, and we were scheduled to all move to Suntec City to mass dance around the Fountain Of Wealth!!! Now, that was going to be cool. Took bus 36 and ate dinner at Pizza Hut situated in Suntec City. Ahh, nothing like a decent dinner at the start of the year..............but the bill sucked!! $48!! Lucky there were 8 of us, so i would be $6 each. Phew.............yeah, and we gathered around the fountain at 8.45pm and started dancing like maniacs. Danced all the 6 dances we learnt, namely 'Whiney Whiney', 'Tribal Dance', 'La Bamba', Neutron', 'Friendship Dance' and 'Iwant You'. Mastered the basics through this. Haha. My parents called me before dinner and said they wanted to see me dance, and there they were, near where my bag was put, looking at me! Haha. I should expect more of this in the days to come.............
