Aww shucks, a stupid NPCC training ruins the whole of my day. Got up at an astounding 6am to eat breakfast and pack up anything needed for the training, which included my full NPCC uniform. Travelled in my father's car and arrived at school. Time check, 7.10am. Sigh.................least I could do was continue polishing my boots. God...............how life-draining is it to just struggle for the shiniest boot possible by mere shoe polish, water and a cloth. Packed up at 7.40am and fell in at 7.45am, where the seniors came to take attendance. Only 12-14 out of a maximum 42 turned up. Pathetic. After that, some physical training came. Push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks all in one. Yeah. This is life. And after training, campcraft took place. Learnt a couple of knots and lashings. After an hour, our senior came and awarded some badges for the accomplishments we have achieved for the last 3 months. I attained 4 badges. How cool was that? Lunch came shortly after that. Only one shop in the canteen was open, therefore I miserably ate 2 cups of instant noodles and got a drink. Man, my MSG level in my blood is going to fly up high.................pinned my new badges to my uniform and admired the realistic effect. I t was SO shiny, it glittered in the sun. Yeah, and at 2.30pm, a full-scale parade between us NPCC cadets in Victoria School took place at the parade square. Pretty short, and a miserable training in full uniform immediately after that. Sigh...................and it all finally ended. Time check, 4.30pm. That was still early, so I played a little soccer before going home aching here and there...................sigh................now I know just one training can wear out a happy person's holidays.
